There are a great many dangers that are associated with the use of heroin, and all of them are quite terrifying. None of those dangers compare to the danger of a "hot dose" though, which is dangerous and horrifying.
What is a Hot Dose?
A "hot dose" is the name given to a dose of heroin that has been purposefully tainted. Most often times, the dose is spiked with battery acid, it is done on purpose, and usually with a malicious intent.
What Happens if you Shoot a Hot Dose?
You die. It is as simple as that. This is a dose of heroin that is designed to kill the user as soon as the heroin/battery acid reaches the heart.
Who Creates Hot Doses?
Hot doses can be created by anyone who has heroin and wants to make it deadly by adding the battery acid. As horrifying as it may sound, the majority of hot doses are mixed by one junkie and given to another, in order to kill and rob that person and blame it on an accidental overdose. The hot doses also have been reported to be used to shoot-up someone that was passed-out to simply just kill them and make it look like an overdose.
And then there are the truly frightening cases of drug dealers who for whatever reason give out these doses to customers who angered them, were always late with payments, etc. There have also been cases of people who are just crazy and started selling hot doses simply to kill others.
Hot Doses are simply killer doses of heroin. You cannot tell the difference between a regular dose and a hot dose, so the danger is always there that this use of the drug will be a fatal one. This is why heroin itself is a terrifying drug, with many more dangers that just the risk of addiction and accidental overdose.
My daughter recently started using heroin but bravely quit cold turkey eight months later. I just wanted to know what a hot dose is because I know that she owes money.I'm currently trying to get her on a shuttle to where I live where there only 700people and no heroin here there are a couple of meth users but no heroin I'm certain so she won't have the temptation in her face here. ReplyDeleteThis article is very unrealistic. Drug dealers don't kill their customers with a "hot dose", even when they owe them money. People have just seen too many movies. They're not going to risk a murder charge for a street junkie who WILL come back and get more. Also...they're also not going use their own drugs or extract battery acid to put into a single bag of heroin. Don't worry about that happening to you daughter. This article is way overblown.
DeleteThat shit does happen I used to spike meth with glass shards (window glass) when someone would anger me....and as for your daughter that is an amazing feat quitting cold turkey like that but don't fool yourself there are drugs everywhere if someone wants them bad enough no matter how secluded and cut off from society They are they will get them.

ReplyDeleteIts super cheap and affective its not a narcotic.but its amazing for getting off of heroin.again that's klonidine.go to any er andtell them after exam that you want to get clean but ccan't and you heard about this 3to4tablets per day oh and she also took Tylenol free Coraceedine to hlp.her it worked like a charm.

DeleteAfter trying methadone and suboxone and only starting a new addiction, which if you ask me is just as worse as heroin. Clonidine is a clean and effective way to help with withdrawal if taken correctly. This is how I started my process to getting clean. After I had gotten through the worse part of withdrawal, I really started my journey down the hard and long road of recovery by getting the shot of "Vivitrol". Vivitrol literally saved my life! It has now been 11 months that I have not used and not to mention absolutely No cravings. This drug is not a narcotic. Before you turn a blind eye to this drug do to the cost. Please discuss with the right type of doctor, one who successfully deals with recovery. My insurance does not cover it, but with going through the right "recovery provider" they will pay for all cost. I do not pay a dime. I attend recovery path ways in Michigan. Don't worry they are nation wide (! If you are one battling this disease or know someone suffering from this awful disease,you no longer have too. This is a very effective way to go about this. Trust me if it worked for a very sick addict like myself it can deffintly work for you or your loved ones. I do also suggest a 90 day treatment center and then 12 step meeting or at least some type of support groups. For me it was more spiritual and having a great relationship with the God of my understanding. I pray everyday for those sick and suffering and if you don't take my suggestions I hope you find a way out of the grips of this sick controlling disease and live a clean and serene life. DeleteTo help through withdrawal I was on Clonidine 1mg Hydroxyz Pam 50 mg and 800 mg Motrin. Then after withdrawal symptoms were gone then giving the Vivtrol shot.
